Mozart: Sonata in C, K. 545

Sonata in C, K. 545

Is there a more famous piece of music for piano? Probably not. This is one of those compositions that people know who say they know nothing about “classical” music. In other words, if they here this piece they probably don’t know it’s Mozart, and they may not even know what century Mozart lived in, but they will say: “I know this from somewhere.”

This 1st movement is the one everyone knows. But I will add the other movements soon.

  1. The “ubiquitous” one – that gets spoiled by being a “student piece” and gets played that way everywhere – so that we fail to get to hear what lovely music it can actually be.
