Mozart: Rondo alla Turka

This is one of those things that people who know nothing about “classical music” have heard and usually love. It is the last movement of his Sonata in A Major, K. 331. Because this is so famous and has been played by so many fine performers, I was reluctant to give it a try myself, but after giving it a shot I think it’s good enough to share.

At first I didn’t know what kind of pictures to use.

Since I am at the very end of synchronizing my website and this YouTube channel, I had planned to find some convenient pictures and then paste them into a video just to finish. But as I looked for pictures, I became fascinated with what I found. Turkey has an amazing history, so there was so much to see and to learn.

I was not sure where to start.

The national clothing is incredibly colorful. There are a whole number are beautiful places the tourists go to see. Then there is Turkish delight, something sweet that I read about in “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” that I have never eaten, so I was rather fascinated to see pictures of this dessert. There is always so much to see, so much to learn and so much to experience on the Internet.
