“WTC” stands for “Well Tempered Clavier”. Bach wrote two books, and in each one he wrote a prelude and a fugue in each major and minor key, so there are 48 of each in all. This is from the first book, and it is written in C minor. So it is the second prelude in the book.
I believe it is one of his best, and although it is challenging this can be played by pianist in their first years.

By now all of you know that I consider Johann Sebastian Bach to have been the greatest keyboard teacher who has ever lived. As you also probably know several of his children became famous composers. At this time I am wondering how many of his preludes and fugues in the Well Tempered Clavier may have started as instructional compositions for at least his oldest son.
This particular prelude one is a marvelous study of chord structure.
You will find that this C Minor Prelude is particularly popular. There is a YouTube video comparing about 10 top players and their spin on this piece. In my view it should not be hurried and it must not found robotic. It’s not a virtuoso piece and it’s not supposed to impress people with its speed. As I play it I want to carefully experience to harmonies.
I enjoyed listening. It sounds as though it would also be a good piece for guitar.
I actually like the beat of the song, it reminds me of songs I’ve heard in games I’ve played in the past.
Oh wow. Thank you for not rushing the tempo and for extracting every ounce of soul out of that. This is magnificent! People play this wayyyy too fast. There is music in the WTC! It’s not just dry thesis.
I’ve always liked this one. You’re doing something that I like but that I can’t describe. Maybe having to do with the bass notes.
