Kylo Ren Theme…

Kylo was angry at everything and everybody. Unlike Darth Vader, who was really good at being evil, Kylo was just miserable, and out of control. His character is like the poster child for anger management. If you hear a relationship between his music and the Darth Vader Theme, the march, there is a reason. This is all based on minor chords and tritones. Note that part of this track contains part of Rey’s Theme. For obvious reasons, Rey and Kylo Ren are linked both dramatically and musically. You will also hear a bit of the Force Theme at the end.

Kylo Ren Arrives at the Battle…

Here is another track where the Kylo Ren Theme is featured along with part of Ren’s Theme.

Music composed by John Williams and Gordy Haab.

  1. Am I being sacrilegious if I say I’m glad I didn’t watch the movie, and don’t know this character, because it lets me enjoy the music as music? After the first few seconds I stopped trying to hear any kind of personality, and just let the glorious music waft over me. I did hear the tritones and such. Also, it ends on a minor 2nd, a real clash.

It’s the first of the two that I really liked.
