Odd Ball major scales

Odd ball scales, where the thumbs never meet….

There are only two major scales like this , and they are difficult because they are unique. They are the last major scales I teach, but they are the first I review because they are difficult,

  1. Eb major: the thumb of one hand always plays with the 2nd finger of the other hand, and this happens for four of the seven notes in the scale.

  2. Bb major: I don’t even know how to describe this one. 4 always comes with 3. One time the thumb comes with 2, but the other time 123 in one hand is with 321 in the other. For me it is the worst scale.
